Do Good, Better.

LEAP’s Impact Gathering is an annual event to inspire and mobilize Canadian leaders to do good, better. As resources decline and technology disrupts the way we work and live, existing social problems are scaling faster than solutions and new problems are emerging.

As leaders, we have a collective imperative to find new ways to collaborate and leverage current resources to address these challenges. LEAP's Impact Gathering explores cutting-edge models and innovations to help us solve Canada’s most pressing social issues.

2018 Impact Gathering

On September 27th, 2018, leaders from across the private, social, and government, sectors convened in engaging dialogue over an afternoon and dinner gathering – the Centre’s first Impact Gathering. The conversation was electric as we connected over the power of collective impact and how we can collectively do good, better.

Reverse Engineering Successful Unicorns

This panel looked at the conditions that need to exist in order for social ventures in Canada to grow and succeed, leveraging examples of successful unicorns from across the border.

2020 Impact Gathering

The conversation included:

A discussion with Stephen Huddart, President & CEO with The McConnell Foundation about the impact of the changing - and challenging - landscape for social purpose organizations during the pandemic.
Sharing the pandemic leadership experiences of Up With Women and Teach for Canada with Up With Women and Teach for Canada.
The unveiling of the 11 selected ventures for our Healthy Futures initiative. With LEAP’s support, this cohort can collectively impact the lives of over 2 million Canadians annually over the course of our partnership
- 7 ventures target beneficiaries from vulnerable communities
- 9 ventures are female-led
- 5 ventures are using tech-enabled interventions to scale their impact nationwide

2021 Impact Gathering

Some highlights from 2021's event included:
